EGLE community open house draws crowd in Detroit

Detroit residents Iyad A and Aya A eagerly asked questions about recycling as they learned more about the Recycling Racoons campaign during a recent open house hosted by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).

“We need to do what we can to show that we care about the environment,” Aya, an environmental studies student at Henry Ford College, said.

“Also, environmental crises are so interconnected,” Iyad added. “I want to learn what we can do locally to help prevent them.”
